Unofficial Guide to London Heathrow

Hotels

4-star-hotel

Airport hotels are a convenient option for those arriving late or departing early. Most hotels near the airport also offer a park and service, allowing guests to stay a night, enjoy an airport transfer and leave their car safely parked at the hotel for up to two weeks. Heathrow is also served by the National Express Hotel Hoppa shuttle service, which connects from the airport to all of the following hotels (along with several others).

Sofitel London Heathrow
The Sofitel is directly connected to Terminal 5 via a direct walkway. Guests enjoy panoramic views of the airport, as well as access to facilities including the Tea Salon, Sphere Bar or La Bell Epoque restaurant.

Hilton London Heathrow T4
Guests of the Hilton’s T4 location enjoy soundproofed rooms, a heated swimming pool and state-of-the-art fitness equipment. This is the only hotel connected to Terminal 4 via a covered walkway. Another Hilton hotel is located one mile from Terminal 5.

Yotel
Yotel cabin hotels are found in Terminal 4 in the Mezzanine area (landside). These are compact but comfortable rooms with a bit of Japanese influence, and they are ideal for anyone who has time to spare between connecting flights. They’re bookable by the hour, and the check-in process is automated.

Holiday Inn London Heathrow
Located immediately off the northernmost perimeter of airport grounds, this branch of the Holiday Inn is the closest hotel to Terminals 1, 2 and 3. This is a modern hotel with practical facilities and convenient access to Heathrow.

Marriot London
A mere half-mile from the airport, the Marriot offers ample facilities and convenience. It’s a five-minute drive from Terminals 1, 2 and 3, with Terminals 4 and 5 about twice as far. The hotel features a leisure club, two restaurants and three bars.

Radisson Edwardian Heathrow
The Radisson is a four-star hotel, and its creators claim that it’s the most luxurious hotel at Heathrow Airport. Facilities include a health spa, lounge and restaurant. The hotel is five-minutes’ drive from the central terminals.

Holiday Inn Ariel
You can’t miss the Holiday Inn Ariel, if only for its unique ring-shaped building. Rooms enjoy views of the runway, but they’re also sound-proofed and equipped with black-out windows for guests’ comfort and convenience.

Ibis London Heathrow Airport
This is one of the best value-for-money options within easy reach of London Heathrow Airport. In addition to serving passengers from the airport, it’s also a regular choice for those visiting nearby attractions such as Windsor Castle and LegoLand.
